Always wanted same. What do the experts think?

I know not of Ludwig. I'm at $425.

Thanks!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Metal hoops aren't factory for B/O badges, shell from bass drum, arch spurs look right as does hardware for toms.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

That is why this is such a great forum. Thanks all for the information.

Got the standard great kit, won't last long from the seller.

Think a look see is in order. Will update if any is required.

Hi Creighton,

interesting: is this your set?

was just wondering looks like a set that I picked up awhile back with the same finish.

might be the same person who did it. mine has a texture to it.

That's a rare, but faded Turquoise wrap! At that price, it's a no-brainer. You'll need to swap out the metal MIJ hoops, but other than that, they look legit to me. I say go for it aggressively.

Did you end up getting them? I was literally begging him to let me come give him the cash but I was fourth in line. If you were the third guy, then I assume you own them now.

Creighton - (If) you buy them... Precision Drums sells a Turquoise Sparkle wrap! Snag a couple of period correct Ludwig hoops anywhere you find them and buy Turquoise bass drum strips from Precision and then put them in a sunny window for a while to fade them! As soon as you see them dulling up a little bit, you can add them to the hoops and they will be close enough to the faded finish to fool the eye. Just a suggestion...

Think I was 5th. Seller was an honest man. He sold it to the first guy that called for the $325 asking price. Hope it was a member here.
