nice set, nice color but what's it?

(by the way - does anyone play a sonor phonic set? thick shells, how sounds it? hm, drums that sound like a mixture between the set on brubeck's carnegie hall concert and when the levee brakes would be the one......)

Never seen a set like that myself, so no name is jumping out. Is there any writing on the washers where the lug meets the shell? I know Slingerland & Ludwig ( and likely others ) would have something written on those, perhaps this company did the same? That is a really nice finish, and the drums look to be in pretty good shape.

Kinda looks like an old Grestch kit from the fifties or a MIJ stencil of one.

I play Phonics, it`s all I ever played, Very Heavy metal/Rock drums. In my opinion, there isn`t a better sounding BD than a Phonic. Even today or yesteryear. The Ferro., snare are to die for when dialed in.

I noticed the four rods tom and six rod BD,...on the bottom of the barrel series, whatever it is.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

I'm guessing early Japanese. Might be something stamped or written inside the shells. Cymbals & stands are a mishmash of things.

That would be cool if it's German. I like the old European stuff.

Hardware reminds me of those early "Star" Midget kits... Huge bells on those cymbals... any idea what those are??

Cheers
