Both sold locally, thanks folks!

I took a much closer look at the Luxor, and upon closer inspection need to update the condition and descriptions (see below). I've taken more pics which I will post shortly. I have also dropped my asking price.

Hi Folks!

Up for sale is a 5x14 Rogers Luxor Snare in the lovely Blue Strata. I won it in an auction, but have since realized I could use the money more than the eye candy.

I also have for sale a Rogers SuperTen snare, and 14x14 Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute Nouveau FT in Honey Yellow finish. If there is any interest for these two items, I will post descriptions and pictures (both are in good to great shape).

Here are the details for the Luxor -

UPDATED DESCRIPTION:

Overall, this drum is in Great to Excellent condition. UPDATE: For cosmetic reasons, I would say it is in GOOD condition, not great to excellent. This can be somewhat subjective to a point, so please ask questions and I'm happy to take more pics if requested. There are no extra holes, shell is in round, hardware/chrome is great, and the bearing edges are smooth and unmolested. UPDATE: It does show some normal signs of use for it's age (very slight pitting/scratches/marks), most of which is only visible upon close inspection.

A few points:

Wrap: There is a blemish (possibly a tiny cigarette burn?) right near the butt plate, smaller than an eraser head (see pics). Other than that I was amazed at the condition. Tight seams, no separations, no cracks. UPDATE: The finish itself has some very light surface scratches in various places. A lot of these seem like they would probably come out with a polish. I didn't even notice these, as it's hard to see unless looking right up close. There are also what appear to be a small cluster of cracks in a couple of places. They are very small, the longest probably being maybe 1/4", and don't appear to go completed through to the shell. The wrap itself is tight and I do not see or feel any separation anywhere.

The color itself looks amazing and doesn't seem to have much "fade", though my disclaimer is that this is the first and only of this finish I've owned so I have nothing to compare it to. Again, happy to give more pics if so requested.

Hardware: I'm not expert enough to tell you 100% if the hoops or tension rods are original, though it seemed to me they are. I can provide better shots of these items, as well. I have no idea if the snares are original, but I really don't think so. Otherwise, shiny and happy! Chrome is excellent, & everything works well.UPDATE: The chrome is not perfect, and there are some very light scratches/pitting here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary for its age. The chrome and wrap could use a little bath, but I think it would clean up quite nicely. It's in good/decent shape, nothing major.

Other: The heads it came with are not original and need to be replaced. The reso looks to have a dent in it, and the batter is a used Evans HD Dry.

I'm asking $300 shipped (contiguous 48 states). If I've left anything out, please let me know. UPDATE: I'm looking for a quick sale, as I could really use the money. I'm asking $225 shipped (paypal) in the cont. 48 states, which I think is a fair price.

One last note: While I've been a member of this forum for a while, this is my first time selling here, so I welcome any questions you might have for me. Feel free to check my eBay profile (username: cellometal). I'm not a "power seller" by any means, but do have 100% positive feedback.

That being said, happy hunting!

I've updated the condition, descriptions, and price for the Luxor. The changes are in bold on my first post. I'm asking $225 shipped (paypal) within the cont. 48 states.

I'm attaching more pictures to address some of the points above.

I will also be posting pics/descriptions for the SuperTen soon.

Let me know if there are any questions, I'd prefer someone be pleasantly surprised with the condition rather than disappointed!

Thanks!

And here's the Rogers Superten!

Cosmetically in decent condition, functionally everything works great. I gigged it for a while, so it has some signs of use - some scratches, small amount of pitting, etc. Mostly it's on the lugs, a couple of which have a ding here or there (tried to capture this on in my pictures). The butt-plate on the throw off is not original (see pics), but everything else appears to be. Tone control is intact and fully functional. I haven't given it a bath in a while, but last time I did it shined up wonderfully.

Great sounding drum, quite sensitive, and was my main snare until my girlfriend bought me a Black Magic for xmas :).

One or two of the tension rods don't turn super smooth on the batter side, which has happened before, but tends to clear right up if I give the rods/inserts a good cleaning. Heads are used, but it'll come with puresound snares.

Overall a good solid drum, great for gigging, awesome sound, and LOUD.

Asking $160 shipped (paypal), cont. 48 states.
