Garage find and possible trades 1966-67 Sling and Ludwig Last viewed: 7 hours ago

Hello all!

I came across some babies in need of assistance...

I am looking to keep the 1966 Slingerland BDP bass drum, snare and rack tom. These are dated 1966.

The story from the seller is that he also had 2 floor toms to match. He loaned them out in 1967 and had them returned san the floor toms or cymbals.

They were thrown in his parents house till recently. Original heads on all drums. The bass drum is interesting. There is a bracket for the cymbal arm, and it appears that the Tom mount has been moved to the opposite side leaving 2 holes. I'll need another bass drum hoop, claws and tension rods as the head was removed and there is some chipping on the shell that needs repair.

The rack Tom has no badges or sound hole (consistent with its age) and the snare needs a tension rod. They all need a deep clean and polishing but should provide a good basis for my vintage kit.

The other 2 drums supplies include a Winston WMP rack and a 1967 WMP Ludwig floor Tom. The Ludwig still has original heads on it (although ripped and filthy), with the shell interior I tact (painted white).

I can provide pictures of the project and will take offers or trades for a matching floor or 2...

There was also a KURT (turk backwards) crash provided...These were an English import by Premier in the 60'-70's as a Turkish knockoff...

I'd have to measure the floor tom...looks like it's possibly a 16x16...

I'd love to trade for a BDP Slingerland floor to match the others.
