Found this over the weekend. Just got them home and haven't taken at home pictures yet but here is pictures as found. I don't know what type/style kit this is or what snare would have come with them. I paid for them on the weekend and got them home this evening and I found them in the same City I live in go figure! What confuses me is the bass drum has only four numbers in its serial#s. Here are the #s.Paid $50.00 for them.

Bass #s 5618

Tom 465167

FT 54986

Missing one FT leg -Has a square White Muffle

Missing one muffle inside rack tom

Missing Tom holder on bass drum

Missing Cymbal holder on Bass drum

All drums have WMP( I think) and has inside lapped beginning wrap.

awesome score. well, they are classics due to the seperate lugs. cant tell if the are 20/12/14 or 22/13/16. they look like the latter. if so, thats a super classic setup. the 4 and 5 digit drums woule be 63-64. certainly 64 on the 5 digit. it should have had a red felt baseball bat muffler inside. probably chrome over brass hoops on it and steel hoops on the later tom. super classics from that period were cataloged with 5x14 supraphonics.

I think Mike hit the nail on the head there.

Bass looks like a 22 in relation to the floor tom.

Now...the mounted tom....is that a...*gasp* red interior?

Sizes are 22/13/16. The 13 has the muffle missing but the floor tom has a rect. white muffle.

The interior is not red but are white and thats what puzzles me as all drums have overlapping wood wraps and I thought they should have clear interiors. My obps are 68-69 and have the clear interiors with overlapping wood wraps.

One thing that bothers me is the Rail Con? How hard is this part to find and how hard will the other parts be to locate? Thanks for the info on the proper snare for this kit.

Wow! what a find and deal !!! Those look in really good condition. They should clean up really nice. You should not have to hard a time finding a rail mount for the bass. You can always use a snare stand for the tom. That's what I do even though I have the rail mount. Wonder what happened to the rail mount and cymbal L arm. Did you ask them? your a lucky guy regardless.

Great find and price. I have found many vintage drums at garage sales. I picked up a 1920 Ludwig Universal and a 1950 Radio King at a garage sale for 30.00. So they are out there to be found. A couple of days ago at a sale I picked up a 1969 Ludwig supra 400 I paid 10.00 for it. I never miss a garage sale with drums. It gets my heart beating real fast when I see the drums as I drive by. I almost throw my wife through the dash I stop so fast LOL.
