That's what I thought. I hate it when people do things like that.

Inside of grommet has paint too...dead giveaway it's painted non factory...People like this should not be allowed to buy drums!

LOL!!! agree 100%.

I'm going to restore it once I get a couple other projects out of the way. Whether I going to keep it or selling is another matter.

That is a heck of a nice drum for 20.00, extra holes and paint stinks, but gee 20.00?

Agreed. But once I've sanded down the inside I'm going to plug the extra holes with wood plugs. Then re-clear the inside.

Update Time:

I removed the BDP wrap from the shell. My original intent was to put it back on after the shell was refurbished. But the largest piece broke into two when I moved it to the dinning room table. Some small pieces of Mahogany did pull up when I was removing the wrap. Lucky I stopped when I saw the piece coming up and slid my metal knife between it and the wrap freeing it from the wrap. Now all I have to do is glue the piece back down. Then start removing the paint inside.

I noticed If I take my metal Putty knife and my heat gun. Scape the shell with the knife while holding the gun on the blade of the knife not the shell it removes the paint faster and it doesn't seem to do any damage to the shell. Is this a better and safer way of doing it or should I stick to the sanding?????
