Thanks for the offer Oddball!

I don't even remember what I was looking for.

A lightweight snare stand? Maybe a deal on a trap case?

Whatever it was, I found it elsewhere.

He is on this forum (think he goes by "drumcrazy"). He routinely has yard sales where I've found some good stuff.

I've been to a couple of his yard sales. His adds run every day on Boston CL. Usually a whole bunch of junk with a few treasures hiding within. The first time I left with a Slingerland Magnum straight cymbal stand $45 and a Tama single braced snare stand $35 after a little bit of haggling. The second time I left with nothing. Anything I saw that might've been of value was in pretty rough shape and was priced close to retail based on condition. Flakey Supras, rusty festivals etc. Which is fine for him to do. I don't have to buy anything from him either. I also left a message with him looking for some parts and never heard back. When I went to the 2nd yard sale I asked him about it and he just said "I probably didn't have the parts so I didn't call back". That's also fine. I just won't call him next time.

I don't know if you have any interest in this, OB but it looks like there is a Sonor Orff timpani, in picture 4. The dark brown one on top is a Studio 49, the light coloured one underneath, looks like a Sonor.

Depends on what he wants for it. I always wondered why they oval the lug holes, do they move or is it a head changeing thing ?
