Gene Krupa snare? Last viewed: 9 hours ago

Is the coated Ambassador a one or two ply head? Seems the head on my Dyna is pretty "heavy" sounding...have to go check on what it is. I know I haven't tuned it, so its probably not a tight as it should be.Coffee Break2

Well here it is! It is not perfect but it cleaned up very nice and I think it sounds pretty darn good!!! It didn't come without a few issues. The top hoop was just enough out of round that I had 1 tension rod everytime that woud not tighten up. I finally messed with the hoop enough to bend it back a touch so I could get the last tension rod tight. Anyone ever have this issue?

I also still need the plate piece and screws for the snare butt. You will see it in the pics. Like I said though it sounds good now and is together and I played it this morning. Very happy with it. Glad to have it in my collection.

For now I just put a reverse dot on it till i can grab a ambassador to try. Hazy on the bottom.

Cheers!

She turned out nice, man !!!!

Not so many hoops out of round for me as the very flexible COB shell being out of round.

I leaned my BFA into it until it submitted into roundness.......

I didn't even think the shell would be out of round. This had been beat up pretty good. At least it sounds good now!!! This IS NOT for sale but I am curious as to what these go for in Very good condition and one like mine.

Cheers!
