Ray Ayotte crafted them personally with 1st grade maple wood back in 1992. Ayotte is one of the few companies that make their own shells in house. He parted ways with the company in 1999.
I used the drums for 2 years. They have been into storage until now and are in excellent condition (some minor scratches, detailed pictures available)
