I'd say you did alright at $138. That's a Gretsch Dixieland model. Six lugs, single flange hoops, and the Renown throw off. Same shell as any other Gretsch drum of the era. Later versions of this model had the die-cast hoops in place of the single flange ones and that was a definite improvement. My guess is that if this drum had the die-casts it would have sold for at least twice as much as you paid. Worth seeking out those hoops if you can find them. Still, this drum is worth more than you paid for it as parts (badge,lugs, shell, throw off). I don't mean that you should part it out by any means, just that there is value there.
I have that exact same drum in the same WMP and they can sound great. I found a set of die casts for mine and for a while it was my main gigging snare. The Renown throw can be a bit wonky if it is worn but can usually be repaired to work okay.
