He was saying 70 apiece for the marchers and three or four hundred for the Pearl set. All way too high. I have a nice Ludwig 10x14 and a 12x15 floor tom conversion (both in WMP) so my current marching needs are pretty well met (considering I haven't marched in 34 years). I also might be interested in them for parts if the price is reasonable. I think I paid $40 at Music Go Round for the marcher I have and it's in beautiful shape. No problem though, I drive through Rock Falls everyday on my way to and from work so it's not out of my way at all.

So close, yet just out of reach....not that I needed any of them.

The guy I spoke to, who's number was in the CL ad isn't the owner of the drums but is a friend of the guy who does have them. It was this friend who set up the CL ad and was fielding the calls. He was supposed to set up a time for me to see the drums earlier this week but I never heard back from him. Today I called him again and he told me he had an emergency come up and had to leave for the east coast for two weeks. But he said to go back to the original CL ad because now the guy who actually has the drums has his number listed. Great, now we're getting somewhere....except the CL ad has been pulled. So a dead end. I guess I could call the guy back and ask for the number but at this point I've pretty well lost interest. I'm in Rock Falls at least three or four times a day due to work and these drums are there....somewhere. Of course there's probably a round badge set in an attic somewhere in town too, finding it is the problem.
