Greetings to the Vintage Drum Community,
I am not a collector of vintage drums just a player whose old enough to have some vintage drums.
I started drumming in drum corps in 1964 and still own a Ludwig Supersensitive (w/ gut snares) marching drum I carried in 1969-71. It's blue sparkle with a gold stripe and needs some TLC.
I also own a model 2806 Rogers Headliner 4 Piece Drum Set in silver sparkle I purchased brand new in August of 1968 from Ellis Tolan at 8th Street Music Store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Set consists of:
14x20 bass drum, 8x12 mounted tom-tom, 16x16 tom-tom with legs, 5x14 PowerTone COB metal snare drum, 4012 "GIANT" snare stand, 360 Swiv-o-matic single bass drum mounted tom-tom holder, 48-003 bass mounted Swiv-o-matic cymbal holder, 395 Swiv-o-matic bass drum foot pedal with solid foot-board, 4402 Swiv-o-matic hi-hat with solid foot-board, 4409 Rodgers drum key

I have all but 2 of the original Rodgers drum heads.
Lastly I own a Rogers 10 Big-R XP8 Drums from the late 70's from what I can tell. I purchased these in the early 90's from a drummer in Buffalo, NY.
Consisting of:
14x24 bass drum
6x8, 7x10 concert tom-toms (single head)
8x12, 9x13, 10x14, 12x15, 16x16, 16x18, 20x20 tom-toms
with Memriloc hardware and stands and a few original heads (clear with black boardered white dots)
metallic silver
I joined to do some research and get some idea about the value of my drums and decide what to do with them.
