Nice score! I have one in Gold Sparkle as you probably remember. Mine is a tight fit for heads...being that the drum diameter at the bearing edges is 14." I found the Aquarian Modern Vintage heads are a little oversized and fit juts fine - I also custom glued a wood flesh hoop and tucked a nice calfhide. That drum will sound awesome Manny. Good buy.

I have already repaired the extra holes. This drum will sound great. I need to try some calf heads. So far great luck with Evans 360s.

Hey guys I compared this drum to a 60's 12x8 tom and the shell is thinner. I need to double check but I think the ply count is the same. Strange stuff.

I would have guessed tangerine. Cool color when it isn't faded. If you do re-wrap, I vote for jet black. Same material today as in yesteryear. Always looks sharp against the chrome. Then go for a contrasting red sparkle in the hoops. Would look similar to this after you get a bass and tom to go along. You've got the main piece now and the others will come relatively easily.
