Gretsch 1960s NAME BAND : Champagne Sparkle : 22-13-16 Kit Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Beautiful 1960s Gretsch Round Badge drum kit in the original Champagne Sparkle.

This is the "Name Band" with the less common 22x14 bass drum. The entire kit is in very good condition!

22x14, 13x9, 16x16. All of the seems have been repaired and are tight.

$1950 + shipping

** Please note, this sale is for the immediate 3 piece kit. (Snare, resonant bd head and cymbal arm for photo only)

This kit will ship with brand new heads on the toms, and used clear heads for the bass

22x14: The bass drum is in great condition! The interiors are very clean with the original tag. The bearing edges are original and sharp. The wrap on the shell is original, seem is tight and there are no chips or any damage to the wrap. The very top of the bass drum shows a couple of dark spots, where is seems the wrap didn't have a few pieces of sparkle. See photo. The bass drum hoops have been completely refinished. Hand sanded down to bare wood and repainted. The inlay is new production champagne sparkle - but considering the minimal fade of the kit, this inlay actually matches better than some of the original inlay found on these kits. All of the hardware is original and in great condition. The wing screw for the cymbal arm mount has a bent wing/arm.

16x16 : The floor tom is also in wonderful condition! All original hardware - Original bearing edges that are all sharp and clean. The wrap seem is tight and interiors are clean with original tag. The hardware is clean with minimal pitting, however the resonant side hoop is rough. Many deep scratches on this particular hoop.

13x9 : Like the other drums, the rack tom is in excellent condition. Tight seam, clean interiors with the original tag. The wrap is in excellent condition and the bearing edges are super nice. The hardware is very clean with minimal pitting and like the floor tom, the resonant side hoop is a bit rough with plenty of scratches.

All in all, this is an excellent kit!

So tempting after I sold my other Gretsch kit. I would love to hear what the 22" round badge bass sounds like. I REALLY dig the 20" versions. That kit would be great for rock no doubt.

I would honestly buy it more for the 16" floor tom. The kit I sold had the hex head screws in the 16" floor tom. That bugged me enough not to keep it for my Progressive jazz kit with round head screws. Yes I am that picky :(
