Thanks for the vote of confidence Manny :) I cleaned the rattle-can gold paint off the hardware by wrapping the parts in a soft rag with a little Acetate. The paint came right off and the Gold Plating was not harmed in the least as far as I could tell.

I honestly thought the paint would not come off as well on your tom. Great job!
