Has anyone ever seen a factory made, round badge, 16x14 Gretsch bass drum? I always hear "Elvin used one sometimes" but I've never seen a real one.

Never seen one,but I once got a 16" FT,and the bottom head was a G. 16" BD head.......

It had the factory "Drumset" logo on it was how I could tell.................

I know a drummer who was a Gretsch endorser in the 60s. He has a kit with a factory 12x16 bass drum.

I recently found a kit with a factory made 14x16 bass drum. Supposedly it was custom ordered under the guidance of Elvin Jones, to be used as the house kit for a rehearsal space in Long Island. The bass drum has original RB bass drum edges, and thick RB hoops with gold glitter inlays, which I think help prove the authenticity as these would be nearly impossible to fake. A previous owner added a Ludwig post mount to the bass drum at some point, which I've removed and covered with tape for now. The Black Nitron wrap is all original.
