Just picked up this all original tom, should be a nice clean up project. Looks to have been unused for quite a while with original PAT PEND Evans heads.

Never play it the same way once.

Oh wow, I saw that black RB tom early this morning around 6am and almost jumped on it... but I always count lugs especially on Gretsch 12" toms before I jump...

The seller cancelled the auction when I emailed him regarding the size and has relisted it as a 9x13 for $50 more than he originally asked.

Sheeesh! the freakin badge is worth that or more.......let alone the shell and hardware. Scoop it. If I was in the USA I'd buy it in a heartbeat. The Canadian Paso is way down so when you add the shipping = total about $80+us = about $110 Cdn.....that's where the 'real-good-deal' loses its luster north of the boarder - still not a bad deal here as well but in USA that's a good deal. Nice ole drum there.

FYI: A original 13" RB Gretsch tom in black nitron is not all that desirable... however a original 12" RB Gretsch tom in black nitron is! Hey, I'm just saying...

Yes - I agree that a 12 is more desirable along with a 14 floor tom. A 3ply Rb 8.12 tom would be a very nice find. I love the look of this 13 pictured above. It's such a treat when you pull one of these (any vintage drum) out of a box for the first time.....the dirtier the better.
