Gretsch Round Tag 3pc White Pearl.

It looks to be a late 50's to mid 60's based on the tag research I've found.

I have owned these since 1982 and am its second owner. It was purchased new by a jazz drummer (FOF) from Indianapolis and had some great years until he put the sticks away in late mid 70's.

I laugh now to say this, but I SUFFERED through middle school playing on them until i finally saved up enough to buy a 'then' equivalent of Mapex. But Hey! It was Bad Ass Black! Right? What cool kid played on white pearl?? I was not allowed to sell them (per mom) because of the sentimental value and how excited he was so see them go to a good home. I snapped out of it in my college years and sold the bad ass kit for enough to but some cymbal felt.

It got some occasional use until I purchased a Renown Maple on 2002.

For me the sediment now belongs to the drums. They were not built to sit, and I don't gig enough anymore to get any benefit out of an extra kit.

I am going to entertain some discussion on price. Its difficult to know, since I don't dance in the theater of vintage drums, where to list as I see such a wide range from 1000-2800 looking through eBay historical records.

22 / 16 / 13 No Snare

-Evans 2ply on the top and 1ply on the bottom.

-I Logo front head is new from 2002. (negotiated with new kit :)

-Shells are SOLID. I'm sure there are some, but I cant find a notable scratches. Bass drum rings are obviously original and show signs of being almost 60 years.

-Rims show minor element build up, but I nothing that wont come off with the -right cleaner and a little elbow grease.

-I did install TAMA mounts on the toms.

-Hi-Res Photos Avail Here

I would appreciate any input on price and assistance finding them a good home.

John!

You need to get the pics up as ATTACHMENTS... not a link to a pic hosting page. The problem with the link is that it will eventually go DEAD. We like to store/archive pics on the VDF as we are dedicated to the history/preservation of vintage drums. Can you size 'em and put 'em back up as attachments? THANKS for your understanding! Oh, and WELCOME to the VDF too!

You installed Tama mounts on the Toms? Did it require drilling?

As I asked...

"I would appreciate any input on price and assistance finding them a good home."

shall I consider this discussion as such. I am not looking to scam anybody in selling them. I don't dance in this theater of vintage drums.

They very well could be. gonna pull the head and see about the holes. don't recall ever making any changes with power tools there.

My bet is they're just discussing what they see as a way of helping you gauge the value.
