Gretsch Roundbadge Bass Drum WMP - Page 3

I cant agree here. I still am 99.9% sure that is a rewrap.I have not seen anyone explain why the inlays are faded badly and the shell wrap is not?If the wrap were original, it would look like the inlays. Why doesnt it?

This is actual normal for vintage Gretsch. At the factory, they applied a layer of lacquer over the entire hoop, including the inlay. Over time, the lacquer has turned dark, which is why Gretsch inlays are almost always a few shades darker than the wrap on the bass drum.
