Yeah I got those off ebay around 10 years ago (original auction photo below). Fourteen 6" concert toms in all the standard colors from the late 80's...how could I resist? As I recall I didn't pay all that much for them either. I've only ever seen one other set, also on ebay, although those were just shells without the lugs hoops and heads (other auction photo). As I recall they sold for more than I paid for mine. These look mighty nice in their glass Ikea cabinet.
These may have been part of a NAMM show display. When I posted about these at the DFO (or it may have been the DCI) someone sent me a picture from an 80's Gretsch NAMM booth that seemed to show these same 14 toms on display. Now maybe it wasn't these same 14 but like I said they don't seem all that common.
Incidentally Caribbean Blue is the tom right above the Ice Blue one in my left stack (yes "Ice Blue" is the correct name for the finish on the floor tom in question).
At the top you can see the difference between Hot Pink and Burnt Orange. Most hot Pink drums that end up on ebay get listed as Burnt Orange but when you see them side by side they are different.

That one's "Kool Green".
According to the color listing in Rob Cook's new Gretsch book there never was a Seafoam Green offered, at least not before Maxwell's recent exclusive finish.
Gretsch did state in the price lists that they could do any color a customer wanted for an appropriate upcharge so there might be some undocumented custom finishes out there.
Also looking through this list in this new book (just released a few days ago) it would appear that my sample set must be from around 1984 based on when various colors came and went and the relatively brief time they all overlapped.
OK then that would help date my drum (mid 80's) i had a body shop do a computer match and the were dead on with this color we now will call
ICE BLUE
I am considering having a 10 x 12 & a 12 x 14 sprayed to match it !
A little jazz/bop set once we convert the floor tom to a bass. Will post pictures when it is all done.

Thanks for asking, but that kit has been in storage for 10 years. I don't have the room to set them up(7pc), and no digital images. I just started using the snare again.
