Anyone know if Gretsch ever made drums without the badges on them? Also are the older drums 6 ply with silver sealer, and finally know where I can find some close up pics of their lugs.

Older Gretsch are 3 ply. 6 ply came out in the mid 50's but weren't catalogued until early 60-61. Don't know about the badges. There are always flukes where American drums are concerned. Pics are on this site and in the Gretsch books. I think they might have some pics at the Gretsch site in the archived catalogue section.
