Hi VDF,
I'm not a huge Gretsch guy and my knowledge is limited but I have an opportunity to but this snare. It's a best offer scam which I hate(why don't people give a price anymore?) Just wondering if anyone can date it and is $300.00 too much. I'm told the guy turned that down so it's a starting point or stopping point depending on the point of view.

Nice-looking snare. I like those Floor Show models. As for date, this would be a good time to have a copy of KCDrumdad's Gretsch paper. As for price, I would guess between $400 - $500 (I hope), if minty.

On 2nd look it's not that great. The snare beds and ground down but this could be factory kind but I didn't think Gretsch did this with their snare beds. There's something funny with the shell near those snare beds almost like it's got a bit of a wow on either side. If it was going cheap I mighta been in!
