Gretsch WMP 12 by 15 SHELL ONLY! Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Loading...

Just got minutes ago,but I thought I was buying a tenor TOM drum.

Turns out it's a parade snare!

Was a round badge drum.....you can see it took the large BD size badge.......HAD Micro strainer etc etc.......

Some buckling in the pearl near the overlap.......

$40 plus shipping.(my cost)

No extra holes! Someone could cut the bottom snare beds off,and make a cool pseudo 14 by 14 tom out of it.

Finish is very white!

I have some 15" G. rims/lugs I can sell also!

B - Stop scaring off the customers! A snare like that will make a fine floor tom even with the beds.

Remember - snare drums can be played with snares on or off. The snare beds will not affect it's use as a tom. If anybody wants a killer shell to convert to a floor tom... this vintage shell is an excellent candidate.

Learn something new everyday.........

I thought the snare beds would void it for use as a FT, as you tune it so low.

But,most people tension G. FT's up tight,so I'll have to try it "as is"!

Thanks

If the beds -are- a problem, the drum doesn't have to be cut down. They sell plastic replacement bearing edges on ebay for $15. Lots cheaper than cutting a drum down and having to recut the bearing edge. Whoever buys this can simply pop on one of those 'ready-made' edges, throw on a head and tune the drum as low/slack as they want to. That's a quality shell. Going to make somebody a killer floor tom!

Good luck with the sale bud...
