Gretsch/Ludwig/WFL & Valje drums Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I have an Album created on Photobucket for all the drums I have for sale. The link is below

I didn't creat a password for it so I think it should be able to be viewed by all = Public.

If you look please let me know how the site works and if you have any problems viewing it. I haven't labelled the drums yet within the Album. I will get to it asap.

I put all the drums in there I have for sale right now.

The Ludwig and WFL drums I want to sell in a Bundle (all together for $350) - that's a very good deal considering I've seen 1960's floor toms go for as much as that. The floor tom I have is a 1965 WMP (original wrap and badge and most of the hardware is original). I bought an era-correct bottom hoop for it. The two black lacquer WFL toms are 1936, the tacked reso headed WFL is a 1937 and the Parade drum is a 1969.

Thanks!

Are you refering to the Green 50's drums or the BurntOrange-like satin stained 40's drums? Just have to know

About to have a heart attack here. Which drums are you selling bundled for $350? That's three hundred fifty and 00/100 dollars? What sizes? Did I misread something?

Man, just have to say what a beautiful finish on the burnt orange kit. Really, really nice job! Wish I could buy that - more for the finish than the vintage.

The Green 50's machine! Super clean and I know you put a ton of work into that kit to get it right.

What are the details on the green Gretsch kit?

The rough details are:

All 3ply 50's Gretsch shells.

I bought each shell (orphaned) on eBay over a period of a year or so.

The floor tom had a tacked resonant head and I made it into what you see by adding the lugs.

All the drums have date-stamps inside the shells. bd 51/sn 50/tom and floor tom 53 (the toms are not from the same origianl kit).

Most of the hardware on the drums is original, some is era-correct that I bought on eBay. I have era correct hoops for the toms but I also bought Brooklyn Series 302 hoops new from Gretsch - nice hoops!

I hired a pro painter to match the paint to an original Cadillac Green Gretsch tom I have and he painted the drums. It's not an 'exact' match but it turned out very nice.

I recently bought a 22" Remo Fiberskyn with the off-set Gretsch logo for the bass drum. I did tuck calfhide on the drums but after having it on for over a year and switching to Permatone heads I prefer the Permatone over the calfhide.....brighter more responsive.

I wouldn't sell these drums if I could help it but I have 5 Gretsch kits and I really don't have the room - I have to make choices. Three of my kits have sentimental attachment. This one and the 40's don't have that for me so I'm willing to part with them.

That's part of the story.
