Hawaii 5-0 Theme Last viewed: 36 minutes ago

They're bringing out a new Hawaii 5-0 show this fall and they just revealed the theme song, which (thankfully) is basically unchanged from the original.

Awhile ago I sequenced it so I could use it at gigs to be stupid. It doesn't sound ace because it's all 100% Roland SoundCanvas (SC-8850) and if I were "really" doing it I'd at least use real cymbals and a few real horns.

I've got the tempo at 179 bpm but it sure sounds funny at 079. Here's both versions:

I would like to take a camera down to Waikiki and videotape a bunch of people dancing to the slow version and splice it together.

It's kinda interesting to hear the tracks (drums especially) at the slow tempo. Johnny Guerin sure played a cool drum track on the original, and I copied it all as best as I could. Funny Johnny was born here in Hawaii yet not one person here has ever heard of him or knows that the drummer on Hawaii 5-0 was born in Hawaii. People here in Hawaii also have never heard of Ben Rietveld who played bass with Miles and has played with Santana for a decade - the most famous/successful jazz musician to ever come from Hawaii and no one here (except musicians) has ever heard of him.

No kidding...

Hmmm... I'm on a Mac and have used Safari and Firefox to get there. I have a friend who says he uses Windows and he's viewed my site.

Do you get to the page and they won't play or do you not even get to the page?

Just in case, (between the arrows) is the site. There aren't any plug ins or anything required, it's boring HTML.

I'd like to work this out because I've never known anyone to not be able to load songs off of my website...

I'm wondering also if it could possibly be some of the settings for this site.

I get to the page, and it says "video loading" for both the selections, but it never starts playing.

Same thing when I go to the website and click on the link.

Maybe you have to sign in, I see a place for that at the website ??

It should end up on a page that looks like this, and it's got 2 song versions and you have to press play on one of them:

Nope... underneath 179bpm and 79bpm is a black bar with white lettering saying "video is loading ...", but it never finishes loading.

Does that link work for you?

That is weird. All the links work for me and I have given them to other people...

I'm not sure what to say. On my computer it even works when I preview it when I making up the post.

So to be clear, you can get to this page: http://musicmusicmusic.cn/

But when you hit the link to go to the Hawaii 5-0 song, it says something about loading but it never does complete loading, correct?

And also, when you go to that page and then go to one of the other songs like "Cop Show" here: http://musicmusicmusic.cn/copshowa.html that also does not load?

I'm baffled, and I'll have to think what is possibly causing that.

Out of interest, what OS and browser are you using Kevin?
