Hayman Vibrasonic Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Here are some pictures of my Hayman Vibrasonic kit from the late sixties / early seventies. It's the Hayman Recording kit with an 18" Base Drum (George Hayman), with original skins, 14" Snare (George Hayman), 12" Tom (Hayman) and a 14" Floor Tom (Hayman), also Ludwig Speedking Bass Pedal.

All in great working order, recently played with the Band all afternoon at our Royal Wedding Street Party on 29th April.

That's nice! I honestly don't remember seeing a Hayman kit in that nice of condition before. Hayman's are super rare in this area.

Is you reso BD head loose or is that some anomaly in the picture.

being a George Hayman it's going to date to 68/69. It has the early bass drum t-rods that were only used on the George Hayman badged kits. I think in late 69/early 70 they dropped the "George" and were simply badged Hayman.

Very nice kit Pete

What colour kit did Simon Kirke play?

That is a great looking drum set. Was the Hayman drum popularity in the UK as much of a niche market phenomenon as Camco or Trixon was over here in the states? Or, was it perhaps an even more narrow niche like my beloved Walberg & Auge drums?

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
