Just found the site. Good information and comments. Some beautiful sets, too.

I have an early '60s Rogers Holiday in silver sparkle although I'll have to measure the sizes and all that. I've had it for a long time - bought it from a punk girl drummer who wanted something else to play. The serial numbers on the inside labels are consecutive. Cool, huh? It sounds good too.

Anyway, nice meeting you. Have a great day.

Hi DrummyRay!

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great people and advice/knowledge here. When you get a chance, post some of your drums for everyone to see.

Ditto - (what Mark said).......

I was just looking around on here and found this thread - sad that he only has one response welcoming him to the clan :(

Then I see and realize - well the guy has not yet learned how to post pics and thrown his kit up there for us to see! That really is the 'cost of admission' so-to-speak. Once you give us something to compliment you on, we chat you up big time! Are we that shallow?? Nope - just keeping it mostly about drums around here. Once you become more active, get to know some names, some get to know your name, etc. etc. - then every once in a while it becomes more about comradery and fellowship than drums - don't need to say why. All you have to read is a thread where somebody ends up in the hospital or something (it has happened). Then you discover how much we all care about each other over and above the drums we all love.

At least that's the way it should be and is with most folks on here. This truly is the finest forum I have ever been involved with and it has a great reputation for being one of the best ever anywhere about anything - for a reason.

I hope you enjoy your time on here and enjoy learning more about vintage drums! Indeed you will likely learn more about your Rogers than you knew possible!

Best blessings......to be found here!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
