I've begun getting into some old drums, I have a16"x16" floor tom that seems to clearly be a slingy in sparkle silver; (hardware,re-rings,large "P"stamp inside shell,mute,all match. However, it has no badge whatsoever, not even the hole,nothing. What is this and when could it have been made? Any and all help will be apreciated.

Yes, early Slingerlands did not have badges on the floor toms or mounted toms, so this is common. The exact year slips my memory at the moment. Rich K and DrCJW have answered that at some point.
