What's the vibe? Evidently the blue kit is Dayton too, but two of the drums have speckled interiors . .

Thanks.

Comparable price ranges?

NEITHER. Pass on both.

Keep Looking.

On second thought, being in OZ throws an additional factor into the choices mix. Of the two, the blue is a better deal if it is down under, however a 4 piece in a configuration different from the catalogs, is an aftermarket 4piece and not as valuable. The drums could have originally been ordered as separates and the bd mount put on at the store, or its a broken up 5 piece set. If you have to import either way, pass. Neither kit would get that kind of money in the US. For those prices, on the current market, you should be able to get a complete set with snare in good to better condition.

The blue kit started out as a Londoner, twin-tom rig. It is missing one of the toms and the twin-tom hardware.

The red kit looks original. Too bad about the crack in the finish on top of the bass, but if he can live with that the price isn't bad by Australian standards.

Also, the red set has a 'best offer' option on the eBay listing, which means there is a better price available.

How much would the shipping be? $400 US ?

He said they'd both take an offer; so maybe $1600 landed for the red kit kit, touch more for the blue. I thought despite the crack, the red kit for that money here seemed ok. Thanks Dan and John.

PS: I see there's an onyx kit on eBay with the same centre mount - did Rogers not make one?

I'm fascinated to hear how you're getting a kit this size shipped down here? I've had postage refused on pretty much everything above a very narrow 18" bass drum. Are you using USPS or a courier company?

Pricewise I'd say both kits are very good by Oz standards even with shipping on top and they could probably be flipped if the owner didn't get on with them.

I've only just started to get into the whole Rogers Swivo placement thing and it seems single toms kits usually had a 75 degree mount between the top lugs on the left (if you're sitting behind the kit). I guess there may have been centre single mountings if you asked for them and I've seen some pretty eccentric Swivo plate placement that I presume was ordered.

I should say now I know not a lot about Rogers so I'll just shut up then. Really curious on the shipping though.

I know this seller. He is not very far from me and we have spoken many times. If you want send me a PM and I will give you his contact information. FWIW I also ship all over the world and USPS has shipped for me drums all over. Including when I shipped my own kits back to myself from Germany.

Manny, USPS isn't the problem. Australia Post is - they've brought in some very specific size restrictions which has essential knobbled a lot of us here from being able to get full kits unless we've got friends who are doing import/export or are prepared to pay full whack for UPS or similar to send it.

My mate Antero (great drummer, btw) says he got the red kit, shipped, for $1600. He's saying that means the kit cost him $1200. Have no idea how it's traveling but I sure wish my blue clevelands had cost that.
