I bought this snare a while back with very little info on it other than what I kinda knew already, but that wasn't(and still isn't) much, as far as Ludwig is concerned. I'm assuming it's from the 80s but if anyone could specify a year on it that would be great. I'm getting rid of it and would hate to misinform any potential buyers. Why is that? I was thinking possibly the same thing because the serial seemed kinda high compared to other Ludwigs I've found from the 80s but the only stuff I've found have been toms and kicks and I would think they would sell more snares than anything else so the serial would be higher on the snares...maybe I just want the drum to be older than it really is. Either way I'd rather somebody give me a more solid answer than "I'm guessin'...".

The blacrolite(acrolite) was 93 and later.if it has the chrome faced P-85 then its likely after 94 or 95..
