I'm not sure if this issue has been visited before (tried searching, no luck), but I just became the proud owner of a Ludiwg (WFL) 1959 Red Sparkle kit. It's a super classic, 13" tom 16" floor 22" kick 14" snare. It's gorgeous and I am beyond excited to play it.
However, I'm having an issue with the floor tom not resonating. It resonates beautifully if i hold it in the air or get someone to hold it off of the ground, but when it's resting on the legs (they are the straight legs with no curve at the bottom and no rubber feet), the drum dies almost completely. So are there any remedies for this problem, any tips, thoughts? I'd imagine I can't be the first to have this issue.
TIA!
