Help ID estate 16" Slingerland (???) floor tom Last viewed: 13 hours ago

This is the last one I'm asking for help identifying. It's the only one without a Slingerland badge, but it's got the same P-020 ink stamp inside as most of the others in the set. Was Slingerland an OEM to other drum manufacturers or is this a cheaper, non-labeled model?

Earlier Slingerland toms did not have badges or vent holes - pre '65 or so. I believe "P" is the designation for pearl. That drum has pearl on the outside, so that is consistent. Not sure the meaning of 020. The Slingerland guys will assist.

Thank you again, Dan. K.O. pointed on on my bass ID thread that "P" referred to the drum being wrapped in plastic.

Since it doesn't have a badge, and since the date stamp is smudged, this is the only drum out of the set that I'm having a hard time dating.

Sorry, I misread K.O. You're right, Dan, the "P" refers to pearl.

I might be interested in buying that drum (16"). I recently inherited a set from that same era and in that same finish that is missing the floor tom (my friend that owned them used a non-matching drum for his floor tom).

Thank you, Andrew, that helps.

K.O., the problem is that I know nothing about the value of these drums and I have a fiduciary duty to the estate, so an auction is the only way I know of to determine what they're worth.
