From Mamo

Thanks. The lugs aren't Ludwig standard at all, they are aftermarket on all the drums, as are the bass drum rim claws. It isn't a big deal you can always get the original parts, But if it is a kit you like and like the sound of it leave it as is.

Cheers! Thanks a lot! Do you know if this kit has a model name? I'd like to get hold of a 16" or 18" in the same colour / finish but it's quite tricky.

Slingerland was one of the great American drum companies, the 3ply shells they used, as well as Ludwig, were the best. Look at all the great jazz drummers who played them as well as some rockers.

I've also got a Ludwig Super Classic from 65, but this Slingerland kit is a pain to pin-point. If you got any ideas, feel free to comment. Thanks

I think the drums you have are from an incomplete kit that someone sold the other drums from your drums. the shells you have are the 5 ply no reinforcement rings. here look at this link. http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/slingerland_drumsets.html

Cool! Yes, you are right. They don't have reinforcement rings. Sorry to be a pain, but could you please tell me which catalog? Thanks again!
