Help ID'ing and valuing this floor tom Last viewed: 54 minutes ago

I've been looking for a Slingerland BDP 18" floor tom for my kit. Today there is finally one on eBay but the lugs don't look right.

He also wants 500 bucks plus shipping for a 70's tom. I think he's way over priced.

What do you guys think about the lugs and the price?

That Is way overpriced at the buy it now amount.

This is a late 70s or early 80s model... no re-rings didn't happen till late 70s

There is a "make offer" option on the listing...

I'd want Lots more pics and a closeup of the badge for sure before making an offer...:)

And, dude, ......it's sitting rim down on a freakin' concrete driveway.....geez.....!!!

Yep looks a bit overpriced. Maybe see if he'd accept a lower offer? Does it included the bottom rim too? I'd say somewhere in the $300 range would be more than fair. Nice looking drum otherwise and lugs look ok. Could just be the angle of the picture making them look sort of flat. Hope you can work a deal. I don't see 18's in BDP that often.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Yeah, it's so hard to find an 18" BDP, when I finally find one I'm interested.

That's a 5-ply, no re-rings, and some lugs appear to be replacements. Way overpriced, IMO.

To me the lugs look correct and I don't see any that look like they were replaced. I've been looking for a LBP 14" tom forever and I know when one pops up I'll probably buy it. Whatever the ridiculous price is. I guess it depends on how bad you want it and when you think the next one will pop up is. But it doesn't hurt to offer less.
