From RG1940

More pics, hope these turn out OK. any more suggestions?

The snare drum throw (Rogers with W&A cover plate) , the double bass drum hoop inlays (even though they are blue), and the double breather holes on the bass drum shell are Walberg & Auge features. George Bernard (father of Robert George Bernard--RGB) painted the insides of the shells he made with black paint. I don't think that he signed his initials or wrote the dates inside the drums that he made. RGB did write his initials and build date inside each drum that he made. All of my W&A drums were made by the son, RGB.

Geez, I wonder where the original hoops for that big bass drum went?

Nice drums, in any case. A bit too yellow for my own taste tho, but they have lots of Mojo.

Those are all of the reasons why I would lean toward W&A. That is my final answer.

Someone on another drum forum found and posted this grainy photo of Robert George Bernard. He was the one man drum making crew for Walberg and Auge. He personally made three of the finest drum sets and a couple of the best wood shell snare drums that I have ever owned in nearly sixty years of owning drums.
