Help!!! Swivel nuts for Premier Kick Drum Lugs Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I have contacted the seller of a Premier Gigmaker kick drum trying to get action. Long story short is that while he said in his description that there wasn't a front hoop, claws, or tension rods, he neglected the fact that the lugs got raided of their swivel nuts. I did bargain the guy down on his asking price, but that doesn't give him an excuse to neglect mentioning a distinct lack of swivel nuts. After all, he did have a best offer on his price.

I am counting on the guy who sold me the drum to douche out on me. So, I turn to you: what can I do for swivel nuts on these one-piece lugs? Does anybody have any spares?

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

The seller didn't douche out, he just knew nothing about drums!!! Since I got this drum pretty cheaply, I am not going to pursue anything. However, I hope I taught him a few things to look for when re-selling a drum, as some ebayers would take him to the cleaners...

I robbed some lugs from a cheap ddrum floor tom, then I took the plastic retainer bit, trimmed it down, and now the swivel nuts are perfectly retained. I did not have to try and source possibly impossible to find Premier swivel nuts and retainers for those lugs. I may stick a tiny bit of RTV sealant on the swivel nut to make certain nothing moves.

Always stay in touch with your inner Mac Guyver.
