The general understanding is, that early MIJ are vintage, and the era of MIT-sets, starting approx. in the middle of the 70's, is not vintage.
The era of MIT-sets also was the beginning of the drums mass production, creating kits being more player's kits - with no specific flair of vintage.
While reading here, I don't see a major interest in MIT kits (... 'cause they're not 'vintage'). Just my :2Cents:
Thus the MIJ are 'more worth' (from the vintage view), they still may be cheaper as some/ many MIT kits, being more comfortable with e.g. more sturdy hardware.
