Hey guys, I have a 28x14 bass drum i just picked up. I would love your help with identification or any info you might have. It's very cool and in pretty great shape. I've attached some pics of the drum and a snare drum that seemed to be part of a set. Thanks in advance.
Probably Gretsch, mid 30's, but could be Rogers? They used some of the same parts. Whatever brand the drums, they're very rare in green sparkle in those years.
The bass drum looks a lot like a kent.
Thanks guys for the info. I thought the same about the green sparkle. There is no tag or badge so I'm struggling to place the drum. Using the snare lugs, they looked closest to premier lugs. If anyone has any pics of drums that look like these, please post. Thanks again.
The lugs are Gretsch "rocket" lugs. Also found on Rogers drums from the same era.
What era is that? 20's? 30's?
I would guess Gretsch for both as a set. Those wider hoop inlays look Gretsch as well as the claws.

My farher has a kent drum that looks just like that bass. Here is a pic from a kent catalog. I dont know if i can get a pic of Dad's. http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/my_collection/literature/kent/kent4.jpg
The brass grommet looks Kent-like but I'm pretty sure it's Gretsch or Rogers as BEC said. Can you post interior photos? That might clear it up. Definitely not Premier either.
Thanks for all off your thoughts. Here are some more photos that might help identify. Thanks again.
