I myself would sale it as a kit, but it's your drum kit you'll get more parting it out but will probably take longer to sale that way.
help with Slingerland Radio King kit id Last viewed: 1 minute ago
Really a great kit that you have the drums look more toward 1950 is there a stamped date in either shell? The radio king snare drum is it a solid shell or a 3 ply model ? If you post a pic of the interior I can tell you which it is a big difference in price with the solid shell.
You will never see a date stamp inside a Slingerland drum until around 1957-58.
Id keep em together with any hardware and ask 1K---sell the cymbal separate. That way you make a little extra on the cymbal and keep the drums together as they should be. Just my opinion.

The A.Zil is a Trans Stamp....so,,if you have a pair..there is $200-250 right there...
Right time period for these drums too..so must have been bought at the same time...
Thanks allfor the great info. Thought that might be the case with the Zildjians.
So,
The snare and the stand, the bass and the pedal plus the hardware that goes to them together.
Then the high hat and hardware together.
Then the other cymbals. Do the other cymbals go with the post they mount on? Or is that drum hardware?
I may have my work cut out for me.
Such annoying fortune!Bowing
General consensus (I think) among vintage types is to keep the family together if at all possible. Doesn't guarantee that some shmuck buyer will turn around and part them out but at least you can have a clear conscience. :)
If I were you and you could hold on to them a bit longer I would wait to see until the market is better.
Thanks for all the help gang. Great fun to learn about these old drums. I realize this kit may be small by today's standards but with maybe only one tom it could be a pretty great kit. Now if only I played them. I'll probably stick to mandolin and guitar. Too late to teach this old dog...
