I really like how they look stacked up one on top of the other like that...one can almost make architectural columns from floor to ceiling out of snare drums.
Yay...inspiration !...now I can go buy MORE snare drums...

lol! Gimme more drums!!! If i had another corner in thatg room I'd order another one! I still have 9 more and one one the way, but a few of them are just cheap chrome ones. Almost Every time I buy drum stuff theres a metal snare in the lot.
Would a 15" snare be able to fit on this, or would it be too far over the edge? I have a 1935 Leedy marching drum that I believe is 10x15...
I can hear the commercial now... "Clap on.... Clap off.... The Stacker"
What a great invention and they should be sold in 5 piece kit configurations and packs of 6 for snare drums.
How about in silver sparkle wrap or the wrap of your choice?
Or just black plastic!
David
I had to alter where the V shaped metal supporters screwed to the shelves to make my snares scoot in a little bit further. I scooted the brackets back and screwed them down about a inch further back than where the predrilled holes were. a 14" snare hangs over the edge 2 1/2" at the longest. so, a 15" would hang off about 4 1/2-5" You could get some small bungies to ancor it. The 14" work wonderfully!
Thank you master David. Plastic would be ideal, especially in sparkle or pearl or just plaine black, You read my mind!
They work great!!!!!
hey, thanks for the idea & link. think this would set up & tear down easily for a drum show? and does shipping take long after ordering?
thanks.
it would set up and tear down very easily if you have room to haul it put together. Its not very big actually. I got mine the very next day, but it was shipped out of dallas and I live 350 mi from dallas. If you do order one, please allow me to tell you a trick when you put it together. My trick allows snares to scoot further back on the shelves. Hell for $39 bucks. I was gonna build me one with 1/2 round shelves before I saw this one. let me know if you get one. Its a very light finish that doesnt match my hutch in my drum/formal dinin' rom1 lol
I'll let you know what I end up with - i'm thinking of doing the same thing with full circles/3 legs - I might get the circles cut ou for free at a local tool & die shop. If this works out, i'll have 2 of them and 2 tabletop ones at the Chicago Show - Booth #10 - Tbone Drums.
Ok boys here's my new $39 shelf with 11 snares stacked nice and safe.
My new Keller drum stackers I made are in between the snares that are on top of eack other. The 1 1/4" drum stackers are made from a 14X24" keller drum shell. The 1 1/4" ring sets right on top of the snare shell to make it ,not only stack better, but keeps the top drum from messing with the bottom drum's head. I can cut the ring and it curls up a little and will fit a 13" snare as well. Enjoy!
NICE FIND!! LOOKS GOOD & OUT OF THE WAY IN THE CORNER LIKE THAT.
CHEERS, Rick.
