Hey! How y'all doin! Last viewed: 16 seconds ago

I joined a couple of weeks ago - got distracted reading old threads on the site and forgot to drop by and post a "howdy". I owned a swivo Rogers kit from around '73 till 89' or so, then life reared its ugly head and I had to sell it and get a real job. recently bought another and am in the process of making it playable again. found this cool site doing research on parts and pieces. I'm a technician/mechanic by trade and love to tinker with mechanical stuff so this will be an ongoing project that I'll most likely spend way too much time and money on!

cheers everybody!

I think it is better spending money on drums then many other things! It is good to see you are getting back into the drumming world. Post some pics of the drums and if you have any questions about Rogers, this is a good place to get them.

thanks so much for the welcome! drummers are the best - aren't we?! I'll post pics as soon as I get everything put back together. this will be a "frame off" rebuild so I may need a few things along the way and will definately have a few things to pass on to someone who can make use of them. I've always loved the sound of Rogers drums - especially the concert toms! and the Dynasonic!! - but the hardware could be a mite finicky. so since I'm building this as a player's kit and not a collectors' I'm replacing all the Swivomatic pieces with other stuff. so I've got a bucket load of Swivo things (in various conditions) in need of a good home.

cheers!
