This is a pretty cool trick. I had seen this in a old Ludwig catalog and guess a lot of the old jazz cat's did this. If you have 14" hats drop a 3.5" splash upright on the bottom cymbal and then replase the top hat. Talk about trash and chic. What I did was take an old broken 16" Sabian crash and cut it down to 3.5. I think you guys will like this.
