1968 Ludwig Standard S-300 kit in the Lemon Strata finish.

This is my first venture into this series of drums and man do I dig these drums.

I had no intention of getting anything other than what was on my list but when I saw this kit I stopped in my tracks.

The hardware that Ludwig used to keep the price down is really cool and best of all: DIFFERENT. All chrome is pit free & NO rust. The shells have minimal fade (if any) & the original snare side head & front bass drum head are on the kit. Inlays & hoops are perfect. Tom mount hardware functions like new.

Of course the shells are just like all the other great Ludwig drums of the 60's.

This model S-300 is the Downbeat configuration consisting of 14x20 BD(sn-1295) 8x12 tom(sn-1298) 14x14 FT(sn-1259) 5x14 (sn-1606).

I am the 3rd owner. It sat in cases for most of it's life which explains it's 9 out of 10 condition.

A welcome addition to the collection and the first kit I own from the same year I left the factory. :D

Beautiful! Ludwig used the white Resocoat finish for probably less than one year before going with the Granitone interior. I also had an S-300, but in Blue Mist. Again, your kit is just in beautiful condition. Enjoy them!

You got those from my buddy Butch . He is a great guy and those are super nice drums !

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..
