A very big thank you to the guys from Houston for telling me about Rockin Robyns. It was a hectik drive through a huge city but very much worth the time. It was interesting that about half the snare drums were for trade only. And some of the sets were not for sale at all. Had a great time, very hard to leave the place! I am finding out just how rare my Ludwig Educators are now!

Great Pics Man
What exactly are these in this pic?
Thanks
"Goin to Houston" "chi" "chi" "ring" well something like that.
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
Thems is wotchacallyer Leedy And Ludwig knob tension drums.
Thems is also what got George Way fired after he designed 'em and U.G. Leedy spent all that money toolin' up and got damn near no return on his investment.
So indirectly, thems is also responsible for the existence of firstly: Geo. Way drums; then Camco; then DW; then Bill's Bar and Grill in Pecoima. (Ain't quite figgered out that last one but somehow, it just made sense.)
Thank you Mr. Womper. That's some good "stories".
See you at Bill's.

It's almost sad in a way to see all those snare drums just sitting on shelves, not being played.Violin
BTW, I saw at least two of my old kits still there, the Ayotte in the third pic and the Ludwig gold sparkle in the fourth one.

Hey Glenn, whats up! We almost didnt make it back. We hit winter storm virgil or what ever they called it right dead on in St.Louis.
It was a budget trip, I bought an L arm for my bop super classics for 8.00.
The cheepest snare I saw was a Dynasonic for 299.00 and not the best of shape. There were a few nice keystone acros for about the same price.
