hi guys. sorry to have been away from the forum for a bit. as some of you may know, i have been pretty busy with my mom the past few months. well early this morning my mom went to Heaven peacefully with her kids by her side. its been a long road, but mom is all better now. that stupid cancer cant hurt her any more. i wish you guys could of met my mom, she would of loved you all and would of treated you all as her own. Mom loved music and anyone who made music. and of course, Elvis was her favorite of all. music made moma happy thats for sure. not sure what more to say other then...life is short, what we put into it is what we'll get out of it, live every day, love in every way. Peace be with you all.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, my friend. Words cannot express my deepest sympathy. Peace, Robyn.

I truly believe that when we lose a loved one, they would not want us to mourn their loss, but instead remember them for the life they led.
Of course I am sorry to hear of your mothers passing. Losing a parent is hard.
The memories and stories of who she was ,and what she did while she was here, will help you to celebrate her life, and not just feel sad about her death.
My father passed in `07, but I enjoy telling a story of how he made me laugh until the end.
He and I attended a funeral service for a friend of our family. She apparently was a fan of Sarah McLachlan, and during the service they played one of her songs over the sound system at the funeral home.
My father and I had arrived a little late, so we were seated near the back of the room.
When the song began playing, I could tell my dad was trying to get a better view of the front of the room. After about 30 seconds, he turned to me and said, loud enough for anyone around us to hear, "I can't see the girl singing, but she's not very good."
I laughed so hard, loud, and inappropriately ,that I thought we might be asked to leave!
That's how I remember my dad.
Sorry Robyn. You're the best of the best here on VDF. The Queen of VDF. My prayers go out to you.
Very sorry to hear this Robyn. How we tried to get that soundfile to work. Ile be devastated when my mam or dad goes, both are now in there late 70s, and I spend many hours every day with my mam over at her place.
Robyn,
So sorry to hear the news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My condolences Robyn, I know how it feels to lose a parent. My dad died of lung cancer 20 years ago and I still feel the pain. Luckily my mom is still going strong at 90. Prayers are coming your way.
My deepest sympathy's to you and your family. I dread the day I loose one of my parents.
So sorry to hear about your mom Robyn. Will be in my prayers tonight.
Mike
