you need to go to the resolution center and file a non payment claim against your buyer.

Did you stipulate terms of payment? If not, always do so in the future. I almost always stipulate that payment is due on purchase and I pay when I purchase as well.

If someone needs a bit of time and has good feedback, they can always request a change and you can grant it.

Don't the rules and regs state payment is to be made within 3 days? I know a lot of auctions stipulate immediate payment, which is silly. Auctions don't care where you are when they end, and a person could be two days away from home without access. Always contact the buyer before dropping the H Bomb.

Blair,

The Ploughman makes a good point about contacting the Buyer first...eBay has it's own rules on this however. You can file anything with the Resolution Center before 7 days, regardless of what your listing states on payment. Once 7 days has passed you can report the Buyer to the Resolution Center by opening a Case for non payment. Ebay will send the Buyer an email advising them that a case has been opened for non payment and they have X amount of days to respond. If they fail to meet the deadline, the Case is closed in your favor and you will be refunded your listing fees and final value credit. Ebay will impose a 'strike' against the Buyer for non payment but that's about it...3 strikes and they're out...but that's about it.

Unfortunately eBay is more Buyer friendly than Seller friendly these days...you probably already know this but you can't even leave them negative feedback.

Good Luck!

I`m not quite sure if you can relist the item just yet...I think the case has to go through the motions first...

After 4 days, you can open a non payment case in the resolution center...If they don`t pay within 4 days after opening the case, you can close the case and you will receive the fees back...A non payment strike goes against the buyer as Crusin stated...

I always email the buyer first...If they don`t reply, then I open the case...

Cheers

When should I pay?

In general, you're expected to pay as soon as possible and no later than 2 days after you win or buy an item. You can pay by clicking the Pay Now button in the email notification or in the listing. The seller will be paid and will know to ship your item immediately. Contact your seller right away with any questions about payment.

That is the eBay policy. You have a deadbeat bidder. Or there could be extenuating circumstances. Disasters, both natural and personal, occur in every part of the country. Try to contact the seller, there could be a legitimate reason for the delay.

I just had a cymbal end last thurs, I send a polite message to the winning buyer asking if he would please send payment, so I can ship. he said he was out of town till sat and would pay then, well here it is Tuesday, no $$$. so I opened an unpaid item case. This guy has all positive feedback to, which blows my mind. he had not responded to any more messages after that first one. If I bid on an item, I pay instantly the second it ends. why bid if you are not near a computer? in this day and age, hell you can send payment from I phones .. no excuse in my book ...so I contacted the next bidder and he already bought the same cymbal elsewhere. I hate this crap

foot note, if you don't manually close you unpaid item case after 4 days of non payment, you WILL get charged from ebay like you sold the item. SO BE CAREFUL
