Whats the deal with counter hoop? Where does he/she get all this stuff?
How long has this been around? Last viewed: 1 hour ago
Don't know, but that site has a "do not touch" feel to me. I don't know who he/they are, but the website is very amateurish for having some fairly nice and rare equipment. It would take a serious force of nature for me to trust it.
+1
The "about" section didn't really say much of what it was about....LOL.
Looks like the domain name was registered less than a year ago and is hosted somewhere around San Francisco.

I can't remember the guy's name, but I sold him some cymbals (may even be the 14" Zildjian HiHats he has listed -- I did sell him a set) and a large flat-rate box full of misc. parts (various brands, mostly MIJ stuff) that I had no use for about a year-and-a-half ago. At the time he told me he was setting up a second store in the Chicago area, if I remember correctly.
He does list a lot of stuff on eBay, but for me as a buyer his prices are too high... but then again I'm a reseller myself so I'm always looking to buy cheap (sorry if that offends anyone, but that IS the nature of the beast IMO).
Had good communication with him, I got paid... so as my experience goes I agree with mlayton on this one.

He may be legit ... not my interest. I won't be buying from him. However, if he wishes to grow his business, he needs to get someone with a clue to work his website. That thing is pitiful.
Oh wow... just did some browsing on the site. He's got a 70s Pearl fiberglass BD listed for $285. That same drum (same picture anyway) is currently listed on eBay for $275, up for sale by a different seller name... something's not right here.
I am familiar with this listing, as it's been 'up' several times (always watching for Pearl FG shells, cheap of course). When I first spotted it several months ago, not only was the price much higher (still way too high, IMO -- and again, I deal with Pearl FG all the time!), the description was all wrong, obviously written by a sales person who had very little knowledge of what he had. I sent him a message and corrected things, which he then thanked me for my help and edited his description. I see that the current eBay listing under the current seller is all wrong again, as originally posted. It is eBay item 170878827942 if anyone is interested in seeing what I'm talking about...
Like I said, something is not right here... RogerSling, your caution is obviously warranted.

I have no knowledge on the seller other than they used to be known on ebay as Counterhoop. The feedback wasn't great. Since then, they have a couple of different names I think with 100% feedback. Something didn't seem all there to me. Maybe they got some issues ironed out or something.
Wow, those are pricey. A better looking website could really help them
