How many Kent owners out there? Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

Hey all

I was in touch with Jeff earlier this year because I beat him out on an eBay auction for a blue sparkle 15" floor tom that he's been looking for for ages.

I'm pretty new to Kent, I've been playing a '69 Round Badge set for the last bunch of years, but for the music I'm playing right now Kent seems to have the exact right vibe - kind of vintage meets garage band.

I pieced together this kit from four separate sources, two eBay and two craigslist - the bass drum (20), snare (14), and tom (13) are all blue badge, the floor tom (15) is white badge. I'm probably least happy with the snare, but overall I'm kind of in love with the feel and sound of these drums. I guess I tend to root for the underdog in general.

I'll try to post some shots with better light, the orange in this one kind of kills the blue sparkle, but here they are on stage recently. Everywhere I go on tour the set gets comments, either people who know and love Kent or people who've never heard of them before.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more Kent sets. I'm a fan, for sure.

Hey JC, me mad, no way. Do you still need that Kent Blue Sparkle floor tom? I will send it to you and you could pay later, I'm a good guy and will do anything to help a Kent lover, remember I met and know both Edward and Bill Kent, I'm in Kenmore New York and work just down the street from the old Kent factory. Email me your address if you need the drum.

Thanks, Mouse
