My '67 Supra is the first vintage drum that came into my possession...was a freebie with the first kit I bought. I had to replace the badly rusted hoops and rods. Lots of chrome had peeled off. I sandblasted the rest off - which was NOT a wise way to remove the chrome, and I wish I hadn't - and my now-mother-in-law painted a oyster like scheme with different shades of metallic blue. It sounds great, but did you expect any different. ;) I also acquired a '67 Acro a month or two ago...haven't had time to clean it up yet, not that it needs much. It sounds OK the way it came to me. I'm sure it'll sound better after I tune it up.
