Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the rarity or common-place of the COB ludwig superludwig or supraphonic snare drum. The one with the p83 throw off, crimped snare beds and a badge without serial number? Im under the impression they are rare and valuable but have seen 3 recently IN THE UK!!!! Please can anyone advice?

Be aware however that Ludwig made the pre-serial crimped shell also in the Ludalloy also. Very hard to detect.

From surface

Be aware however that Ludwig made the pre-serial crimped shell also in the Ludalloy also. Very hard to detect.

Except for the pitting.

I have a "serialed" Ludalloy shell with crimped beds. So, there's plenty of room for exceptions.

Yes, they are pretty rare, OP. Perhaps it's the same drum being bought and sold over and over again? That happens here in the States quite a bit...
